Ed Emrich

 

Ed Emrich is a New York City based photographer who has a passion for capturing his environment in a unique artistic manner and challenging the viewer to see the world in a way in which it presumably has never been seen before. Using the dynamic and ephemeral images created by reflections, he is able to depict the world in a way that defies all expectations and causes us to question the usual rules that inhibit our imaginations.

 

The impressionist and surreal images that he creates through reflections are proof that a world without rules is infinitely more fascinating and thought-provoking. Equally engaging, however, is another body of his work that reinterprets existing architecture and urban scenes in a unique expressionist manner.

 

The bold colors and textures in this innovative series enable the viewer to instantly feel the enormous energy and architectural vibe of the urban environment in a way that is not otherwise possible.
